Inter-School Championships
Manchester TKD are organising an Inter-School Championships, The Peter Buckley Memorial Cup 2007 on Saturday, 14th July, 9am - 5pm, at: Holy Cross College Manchester Road Bury BL9 9BB Entry forms can either be obtained from the instructors or downloaded here.
Peter Buckley (I) was a student of Mr Rose at the Fishpool School, who died suddenly at the age of 42. The first inter-school competition in memory of Peter was held not long after his death, over 10 years ago. With the area having been recently recognised for ITF England Northern Area Squad Training, Manchester TKD have seen this to be an ideal time to reinstigate the inter-school competition on an annual basis. The Championship is open to 9th kup and above, with each participant receiving a Certficate of Entrance. Medals will be awarded in each category (details of which can be found here). There will be an entrance fee of £10 for each competitor, with the funds raised being used to make a donation to the British Heart Foundation and to support future ITF England Northern Area activities. This is a great opportunity to compete and get to know others in the local TKD schools!
